Melvin Churchill MD
Dr. Melvin Churchill is a native of Nebraska and was educated at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and subsequently at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, receiving a Doctorate of Medicine from our home state university. Dr. Churchill was a Fellow in Internal Medicine and a Fellow in Rheumatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

He joined Dr. Art Weaver and Dr. David Cooley in 1980 and was subsequent founder of the Arthritis Center of Nebraska in concert with Dr. Art Weaver and Dr. Alan Jacobs in 1984.

Dr. Churchill is a founding fellow of the American Rheumatism Association, Member of the American College of Physicians and has been active in clinical research since the mid eighties. Dr. Churchill is co-director of clinical research and has been the principle investigator on numerous clinical trials, developing new and key treatments for the management of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, as well as gouty arthritis. Many of these research projects have led to the use of new treatments in clinical medicine throughout the world.

Dr. Churchill is actively involved in teaching young physicians and other allied health professionals, local support groups, and surrounding communities as a requested speaker throughout the region.
