Could Psoriatic Arthritis be causing my skin problems?
Board-certified rheumatologist Dr. Rick Chatwell discusses psoriatic arthritis, which was first described in 1818. Psoriasis is present in 1 to 3 percent of the population, and 10 to 30 percent of people with psoriasis develop an associated arthritis, although the arthritis sometimes develops first. About half of those who develop psoriatic arthritis will have spinal inflammation, as well.
