William Saalfeld, DNP, APRN-NP

  • Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Nebraska Medical Center
  • Completed American College of Rheumatology’s Advanced Rheumatology Course for nurse practitioners and physician assistants
  • Certified by Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses
  • Member of Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals and the Nebraska Association of Nurse Practitioners

William Saalfeld joined Arthritis Center of Nebraska in 2017, working with Dr. Melvin Churchill. Mr. Saalfeld earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology in 2004 and his nursing diploma in 2007. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and his Doctor of Nursing Practice in 2017 through the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Before joining Arthritis Center, he worked as a registered nurse in the medical/surgical ICU at Bryan Medical Center and in palliative and end-of-life care in private practice. He is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Mr. Saalfeld is a member of the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals and the Nebraska Association of Nurse Practitioners and is certified by the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. He and his wife, Rose, are Nebraska natives.
